Default Do you still have a VCR?

Either one you still actively use, or don't really use but know it still works.

(While we're here, did anyone NEVER have one?)

No, I wish I did! I see some movies listed on Ebay that are on VHS and not on DVD that I would like to have!

I do. I think I have 2 left. I used to have 5 or 6. One of the ones that I still have is a special unit that can play both NTSC and PAL. PAL is the European standard. I also have a similar all region DVD player.

I used to have a VCR two TVs ago with my first one. Since that TV died I haven't. My uncle's family has a VCR that still works.

Does any company still manufacture VCR's (you would think there would be at least enough of a market to make it worth some company's time).

I have a Panasonic VCR from 1998 that still works (VHS) and a Betamax which weighs a ton, that still plays old tapes.

Yes, it's part of a TV/ VCR Combo that about 5- 10 years ago a TV repair repair guy found however the TV has wires in the front where you would put the DVD player because he couldn't get the remote. Otherwise TV works fine. Just curious though, where can you find blank tapes?

I have a DVD/VHS combo. that's about 18 years old and an RCA one that I have stored away as a back-up.

I also have an older small screen TV that has a VCR built-in, but I use it mainly to play older video games on.

You can find them on Amazon and Ebay. Also, you can find some if you're lucky at secondhand stores like Salvation Army and Goodwill.

My last one died. I have had some of my tapes transferred to dvd.
I have had a couple of dvd vcr combo's but each only lasted about a year so I gave up. I have replaced all of my favorite vhs movies with dvd's.
