Does golf have a minor league? How does one get to play in these major tournaments? There are golf teams in college, do players (a golf player?) come from that? Or just some guy who is just incredible at the sport who tries out and is allowed to enter a tournament?

They have mini-tours, q-school (qualifying), the Korn-Ferry tour. plus, you have to be really good.
