Daria is one of the best TV Show Theme Songs I have ever heard. The Singer sounds like she is Daria herself, especially the "Excuse me, excuse me, and the "You say I'm gloomy, well so sue me!(A lot of Daria's Critics in Universe call her gloomy). The Daria personality is embodied well in her theme song!
![]() Friends has one of the best TV Show Theme Songs. The theme song is about being there for a Friend and Friends is about 6 Friends. (Technically, two are Brother and Sister however).

Many shows from the 1960's and 70's have good theme music, too many to mention all but I'll name a few.
Barnaby Jones has good theme music, fits in well with the mood of the show. It's just unfortunate that the complete series DVD set has mostly edited for syndication versions of the episodes. Most episodes have a few minutes missing. A real bummer but it is what it is. The FBI, another Quinn Martin series, also has good theme music. The Mannix theme is pretty good. I also like the theme music for the Mary Hartman show. The Patty Duke Show has good theme music, for the 3rd and final season they changed it up a little and gave it a jazzy sound. The short lived series David Cassidy Man Undercover has good theme music, co-written by David Cassidy himself. Just too bad that the series itself didn't measure up to the theme music. The first three episodes are decent enough but after that the writing starts to fall off the rails. Not surprising the series ran for only 10 episodes. David Cassidy was good in the show but he just wasn't given very good script material to work with. |

The Theme from “Angie” (“Different Worlds” by Maureen McGovern, which made top 20 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1979), making the series more palatable!
