Default What topics of today would be written into All in the Family?

I was wondering what topics of today Norman Lear would focus on. With the idea that the same characters from All in the Family would be involved.

We've got anything from Trump, build the wall / immigration, LGBTQ, the 2nd Amendment, Roe v Wade. Artificial Intelligence, climate change, January 6, 2021, etc.

I also wonder if things would play out as well as they did in the original show or would there be some sense of political correctness watering down things.

I could easily see Archie as Gung-Ho about Trump as he was on the original show with Nixon. Archie would make the trip to D.C. on 1/6/21. I could imagine the arguments with Irene Lorenzo, Maude, and Michael on the other issues. Archie would be clueless on climate change and artificial Intelligence.

With Lear still around and very productive I wish he could resurrect the show and tackle these topics.

Would it work, and would you watch it?

I just know that Mike and Archie would have some knock-down-drag-out fights over Donald Trump.

ARchie may talk about topics on how people look. Nose rings, tattoos, people who are transgender.

Archie would be in shock how the country is full of "Mike Stivics" now.
