TV "Jeopardy!" Gets Primetime "Masters" Spin-off Hosted by Ken Jennings

"Jeopardy! Masters" Elite Quiz Spin-off Ordered at ABC
by Peter White
January 11, 2023

The "Jeopardy!" cinematic universe is expanding. ABC has ordered another primetime spinoff series – "Jeopardy! Masters".

The series is an elite level iteration of the classic quiz show and will be hosted by Ken Jennings.

It will feature the six highest-ranked, current "Jeopardy!" contestants, who will face off in a Champions League-style event to win the title of Jeopardy! Masters champion.

Matt Amodio, Sam Buttrey, Andrew He, James Holzhauer, Mattea Roach and Amy Schneider will compete in the first series.

They are beating a dead horse with having the same contestants and same tournaments over and over again.

I am so sick of Amy. But it will be good to see James compete again. Still though, it would be a better use of the Jeopardy! prize money to give the 2nd and 3rd place contestants on the regular version what they earn not ripping them off. Show would make back some of it by not giving anyone with a 0 or minus score any money.

As much as I love Jeopardy, I agree. The game speaks for itself. They don't have to milk it.

by Pavan
April 21, 2023

"Jeopardy! Masters", produced by Sony Pictures Television and hosted by "G.O.A.T." Ken Jennings, is the latest iteration of America's Favorite Quiz Show(R)️ airing in primetime this May on ABC.

Each hourlong episode of the new series will showcase the six highest-ranked current Jeopardy! contestants, with two action-packed and high-stakes games.

Audiences will follow along as Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Andrew He, Sam Buttrey and James Holzhauer go head-to-head for the grand prize of $500,000 and the title of Jeopardy! Masters Champion.

"Jeopardy! Masters" is executive produced by Michael Davies.

I was skeptical about this at first. But the Masters tournament has been really enjoyable, a lot better than Celebrity Jeopardy!

How can someone as square and dorky as Ken Jennings is, also be so obnoxious at the same time?

Apparently, they do because Ken said there would be another Masters tournament next year and the 3 finalists would play again! Who knew "Jeopardy! contestant" could be a career choice???

I was the same way about Mattea Roach although she is a bright 23-24 year old. Maybe I'm a little jealous for she being so young and doing so well.
