This is the song that Mama sings into the cashier's microphone. Oddly enough its sung by Liza Minelli's former husband. The song went to #1 in Australia but did not chart in the states. Its a funny song for Mama to sing since she is shaking things to sound like maracas.

I love that episode where Mama takes over Naomi's checker position and then manages to insult every customer in the store. -Hey chubs go back and get yourself some Lean Cuisine.

IMHO its the BEST episode of Mama's family. The drama between Mama and Naomi is off the charts. Mama insults Naomi and tells her any chimp at the zoo can do her job. Then Mama cracks under the pressure and her insults are so funny. In the end, Mama learns a lesson. I love in the beginning how everyone loved "Ask Thelma" but that did not last for long

The best episode to me is part 2 of “The Wedding”. That was comedy cold. It was the only episode where the entire NBC cast appeared together. I wish they would have shown Ellen’s husband Bruce for this episode. Maybe Dick Van Dyke could’ve played him. After all, he did appear on some of “The Family” sketches on The Carol Burnett Show after Harvey Korman had left.

The wedding part 2 is excellent too. It was very close to a Carol Burnett sketch at the end.
Supermarket will always be my favorite. Mama is on fire but learns a lesson in the end. Rarely do we get to see Mama put in her place.

I think Eunice's birthday episode was the closest to a Carol Burnett sketch, only featuring Eunice, Mama and Ed.... Vint was there also but just briefly
