Both of these new shows look good so far from the previews i've seen. Shark is starring James Woods and it's coming on CBS. Jeri Ryan who played on Boston Public is also on the show and so is Kristen Wilson and Lynn Whitfield. Smith is starring Ray Liotta, Virginia Madsen, Amy Smart. It comes on CBS also this month i guess. I'm surprised James Woods and Ray Liotta decided to do tv shows because they've done movies their entire career. This is their first time doing tv shows.

I guess CBS is getting a lot of people from movies that are moving into television because you also have Skeet Ulrich on Jericho who will be on the same network! That's another show that I think looks good.

I watched Smith last night and i was very impressed with the first episode. I'm gonna watch every episode. Virginia Madsen is very attractive. She was something else in The Hot Spot movie with Don Johnson. Amy Smart who also plays on Smith is in new movie Crank with Jason Statham which i saw last Sunday. Crank is off the hook. There was a scene in Crank which had Amy and Jason having sex in public in front of asians on the street hahahahahaha.

I saw the premiere of "Shark" the other night and I liked it. James Woods has the right combination of arrogance and swagger that make him likeable even though he can be a bit of a jerk to those around him. The realtionship he has with his estranged teenage daughter looked genuine; a lot of shows can make those kind of subplots a bit too sappy.
My one complaint about the show are the actors who make up Shark's "team" of special prosecutors. I know this show is set in L.A. where everyone is beautiful, but c'mon, is everyone in the D.A.'s office under 30? Other than that, I liked the pilot. I'l keep watching "Shark." |

And if you discount Kojak, The Rockford Files, Welcome Back Kotter, The Streets Of San Francisco, The Rookies, Barnaby Jones, The New Maverick & Family then again you are right. James Woods has never worked on tv shows. |
