Default Programs that could be E/I Programs

I'm not sure how "Saved by the Bell" is considered and educational/information (E/I) program. I think these old TV show could be though. Actually some have. Maybe one or some of the digit channels can use these.

Beakman's World
Bill Nye Science Guy
Mr. Wizard
You Asked For It
Captain Kangaroo
Hysteria (a Warner Brothers cartoon series)
John Sutherland produced cartoons
Biography
You are There (Cronkite) both the 1957 and 1971 versions.
The 20th Century/The 21st Century (Cronkite)
Leonard Bernstein's Young People's Concerts
ABC Afterschool Specials
The New Zoo Review
Pretty much any local afternoon kids show, like "Adventure Time" in Pittsburgh, "Wonderama" in NY, "Bozo the Clown" in Chicago, "Romper Room" from any US city.

I know there are more. What would you add?

She seems to be in California. I think Sandiego is how it's spelled. Just about any PBS show would fit.

Looney Tunes. The animated shorts can be used as a fun an innovative ways to teach kids U.S History, Social Studies and the arts.

If a lame sitcom like Saved By The Bell and cartoons such as He-Man can get the EI seal of approval, other shows should be allowed to make a case.

Funny you mentioned Looney Tunes. Last night of MeTV+ I was watching Toon in with ME and they did a school theme. All of the cartoons had some teaching focus to them.

CBS ran on Saturdays The Secrets of Isis, Shazam, Arc II.

Also Pryor's Place and even Pee Wee's Playhouse would work as E/I programs.

They show do the old College Bowl knowledge games, show corrections at the bottom of the screen where answers have changed.

There was a short-lived show call Hot Dog, c. 1970, which showed how different products are made. Woody Allen, Johnathan Winters, and Jo Anne Worley were the narrators.

Wow, College Bowl with Allen Ludden! I use to watch that show. I didn't get any smarter though.

Here's a clip from "Hot Dog" https://youtu.be/XNGWCCl6-qo

Nearly any sitcom that takes place in a classroom setting should be elgible for the EI moniker.

The White Shadow
Room 222
Head Of The Class
Boy Meets World
Parker Lewis Can't Lose
Our Miss Brooks
Ferris Bueller
Coach

Some really good choices. I guess Superfriends is the original 1973 series with Wendy and Marvin and not the 1977 2nd series with the Wonder Twins and Legion Of Doom?.

Just because a show was had a school setting doesn't always give it the possibilities of being E/I material. Hence my original though on Save by the Bell.

I agree with the first 3, maybe Boy Meets World as well. ( I never watched it) The rest especially Our Miss Brooks might not fit.

Marlo Thomas had a special " Free to Be You and Me".
I wonder how she would have done it today.
