Default Any idea when Antenna TV will add some new content again?

They havent added any new shows since April 2022 since they added "My Favorite Martian". Because of the creation of their sister channel "Rewind Tv" there has been a lack of content. I wonder because of all these nostagia channels like METV, LAFF and Cozi its hard to add new content.

I just hope some of their shows will eventually leave and move to Catchy.

Yeah it has been pretty stagnant.

The Rewind channel has a lot to do with that.

When AntennaTV began, it wasn’t 100% sitcoms. It had a Saturday morning cartoon series, a few dramas, and IIRC it had movies as well.

The Johnny Carson “coup” in 2016 may have bled Antenna TV dry for money. I dunno.

But ATV certainly could add non-sitcom material, if it’s that sorry in the inventory right now.

Well there's a lot of good shows that rarely if ever get aired.

Doctor, Doctor (sitcom that ran on CBS)
Dave's World
Less Than Perfect
The Practice (Danny Thomas' show)
Doc (the MTM sitcom)
Arnie
Phyllis
Flo
The Ghost and Mrs Muir
We Got it Maid
Nanny and the Professor
Doris Day Show
The Mother’s In-Law
Wait til Your Father gets Home

Just to name a few.

^ Aside from Doris Day Show, a hunk of those shows above had very few episodes, and may work on weekends only—but that would break the monotony.

And even Doris Day kept changing the format almost yearly!

I would like to see “Arnie” again. I remember how my Dad used to LOL just at the name of the workplace—the Continental Flange Co.!

Those shows can easily be placed on the weekends one episode per day. That would keep them from cycling too fast.

Add Room 222 to my list.

There's a precedent for them with that. A few years ago they ran The Paul Lynde Show and Lotsa Luck on Saturdays.

Also I'll add House Calls and Make Room For Grandaddy to the list.

They also ran My Mother the Car and It's About Time on weekends.

Also with Burns and Allen plus Jack Benny running from 5-6am (eastern time) they could pick up some other '50's early '60's shows like I Married Joan, Love That Bob, My Little Margie, Hey Mulligan, How to Marry a Millionaire, and run them from 1-5am

There were some rumors a few years ago that they wanted to add The Farmer's Daughter, but they could not get broadcast-quality masters from Sony (and that probably means the show was never mastered to videotape in the 1990s). So, at least for Love That Bob, that could be an issue. I don't know about the others.

Well that still hasn’t stopped the Weigel nets from rerunning “The Millionaire,” replete with scratches/splices/spots/film hair/etc.

On MeTV, seasons 3 thru 5, 12, and the last half of 11 of My Three Sons all are somehow derived from 16mm film sources, and look horrible. They were never syndicated in the videotape era. Neither were seasons 1 and 2, but Paramount actually remastered those for DVD and evidently also created broadcast masters.

My Mother the Car & It’s About Time must have been a package deal, because LightTV (does that still exist ?) picked them up after ATV ran them.
