I just ran across this 1964-65 ABC series, co-starring Jack Soo.
What's interesting to me is that IMDB says Jim Nabors was in 11 episodes. It seems that starting on Christmas night, 1964, and through the end of the season Nabors was in 11 Valentine's Day episodes and 17 first-season Gomer Pyle episodes. What's more, both shows were on Friday nights, Valentine's at 9 and Gomer at 9:30 - on different networks? Does anyone know what was going on? Was the show maybe filmed before Gomer was fixed on the CBS schedule? |

That's an interesting find and connection. It would have made a nice Jim Nabors hour on Friday nights on different networks.
It seems like he was more a minor/recurring/background character on Valentine's Day. One episode credited him as Goofy Movie Patron. I guess he could have made a limited number of appearances between filming episodes of Gomer Pyle. Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. was an immediate hit ranking in 3rd place. Valentine's Day was cancelled after one season after finishing in 67th place. http://www.thetvratingsguide.com/202...s-history.html |
