This show was a World War II comedy set in the Pacific
ABC was so proud of this show that a two hour special episode aired on Sept 4, 1977 before the actual start date of Sept 17, 1977 at 8:30pm on Saturday night The show aired in between Fish at 8pm and Starsky and Hutch at 9pm. Its competition was Bionic Woman on NBC and Uncle Tom wants you on CBS The show was compared to 1960's show McHale's Navy's by some critics when it first premiered Jamie Lee Curtis played one of the Nurses during the 1977-78 season Melinda Naud who played one of the nurses also appeared on Happy Days as Fonzie's first girl After the first episode the show was ranked #50 The show started to gain popularity after 2nd episode and ABC decided to keep the show in production By the end of November 1977, it was reported the show was in danger of being cancelled The show would remain at the bottom of the list of shows in December of 1977 but continued to air every week Even with poor ratings the show continued to air every week in the same time slot and was renewed for another season In season 2 the show premiered on Monday Sept 25, 1978 at 8:30pm right after Welcome Back Kotter and before Monday Night Football When the show returned for a second season the entire cast had been changed After the first episode of the 2nd season, the show ranked #59 out of 67 shows.
