Default Who do you think had the best friendship?

Fred and Barney or Wilma and Betty?
Fred doesn't treat Barney right half the time. He's always criticising and calling him names.Plus on many occasions he was violent with Barney.Barney was awfully tolerant of Fred's temperament.Wilma sure didn't tolerate Fred's name calling.I recall one episode where Fred was teaching her to bowl. When he called her a name(I forget what he called her),she deliberatley dropped her bowling ball on Fred's foot and said"I won't have you call me names."
Wilma and Betty normally treat eachother so much better. They never criticise eachother or call eachother names. The occasions where they got mad at eachother and quarrelled with one another were very rare.In fact those rare occasions usually occured when their husbands fought eachother.

Probably Wilma and Betty had the friendship that was more healthy. Fred and Barney's friendship was often fraught with angst but that made them more fun to watch on the show.

Remember that the Flintstones was patterned after the Honeymooners.

Ralph & Ed/Fred & Barney were always a love/hate thing. Wilma & Betty were as Alice & Trixie.

The only time I recall Wilma and Betty at each other was when Barney and Betty had to stay at Fred and Wilma’s. Barney took a huge chunk of pizza. Fred was already streaming mad. Wilma brought up to Betty how Barney had misbehaved—not only the pizza, but also the way he carried on generally.

Fred and Barney were ready to go fisticuffs, when they stopped and overheard the ladies fighting. All turned out to be one big laugh for all of them.

Now…as far as the Honeymooners, I don’t recall Alice and Trixie ever at each other.

I only remember Wilma and Betty fighting ONCE, that's one the Rubbles moved in with the Flintstones and they thought Fred and Barney would end up fighting but Wilma and Betty did instead

I remember as a kid watching the show, I used to want a Wilma and Betty type friendship because I was thinking, "Man! They NEVER fight!"
