Default TV Facts

The pilot of the show was aired on July 21, 1977 on ABC.

The show returned on Thursday, March 23, 1978 on ABC at 9:30pm

The show featured Gregory Sierra as Dr. Menzies who was the chief resident of a inner city emergency ward.

AES stood for Adult Emergency Services that was located on Hudson Street in one of the rundown sections of the location of NYC

The show aired after Barney Miller and competed with Black Sheep on NBC and Hawaii Five on CBS at 9:30pm

After the first airing-3/23/78 the show finished in the Top 20 behind Happy Days.

After the second airing-3/30/78 the show fell all the way to #54 out of 66 shows

After the 3rd airing-4/6/78 the show improved to #31 tied with Welcome Back Kotter

After the 4th airing-4/13/78 the show finished #33 below All in the Family at #32. All in the Family was a repeat

After the 5th airing-4/20/78, the show finished #36 below Eight is Enough.

The show would not be added to the fall schedule for 1978-79 season

Sheryl Lee Ralph appeared in episode 3

Believe it or not, this show was remade in ‘91 as Stat. Lasted about as long as the original.

It was the same creators again so I guess they thought they’d get it right this time. Obviously they didn’t.

Ok, with your mention of Tony Danza I think I see the confusion. You’re looking at Hudson Street from 1995. Totally different show. That’s a sitcom about cops starring Danza. Your facts above are about A.E.S Hudson Street. The remake of it in 1991 was Stat. Those sitcoms are about hospitals.
