In soap operas there are some that were good and had a wonderful storyline while some soap operas are full of excitement and adventure. In 1951 we were introduced to Search For Tomorrow which was one of the best soap operas in the world. Search For Tomorrow was an awesome soap opera that had great characters great acting and good storylines that made it such a classic. Though Search For Tomorrow changed networks it still remained fresh. Search For Tomorrow ended it's run in 1986 but still remains as the second longest running soap opera second to Guiding Light and they should air reruns of Search For Tomorrow in streaming channels because it's such a classic

The information with respect to the series longevity ranking is incorrect. I think this is the top 10 as it now stands:

1. General Hospital

2. Guiding Light*

3. Days of Our Life

4. As The World Turns

5. The Young and the Restless

6. One Life To Live

7. All My Children

8. The Bold and the Beautiful

9. Search For Tomorrow

10. Another World

*Guiding Light started on radio in the late 1930's, so if those years are counted it would in fact be number 1 by a wide margin.

Interesting to note, The Young and Restless will pass the 50 year mark this week. One Life To Live and All My Children have over 40 years. The Bold and Beautiful passed Search in the last year and is still active, Search barely finished ahead of Another World.
