Come to think of it, if you were an actor, would you realistically want a career like Courtney Thorne-Smith's? She went from 5 years on Melrose Place, straight to 3 years on Ally McBeal, straight to 8 years on According to Jim, straight to 50+ episodes of Two and a Half Men. Three of those shows are culturally significant (for better or worse), and According to Jim ran for 8 seasons/nearly 200 episodes.
