Goalie goals are fairly rare, on the subject of goalie assists, Gilles Meloche had six of them for the Seals in the 1974-75 season which set a new record at the time but the current record holder for a goalie with the most assists in a season is Grant Fuhr with 14.

Some other goalie scoring records are Martin Brodeur has the career lead in goals with 3, and Tom Barrasso has the career lead in points with 48, all assists.

48 career assists for Tom Barrasso, wow that's a lot of assists. He must have been a playmaker type of goalie. Pass the puck up to a teammate and get the play started.

It sounds like a lot, but he played 18 seasons, so if you do the math, 48 divided by 18, it averages out to around 2 and a half assists per season, which seems more reasonable.

There aren't many goalies who can't handle the puck these days. It's a bit ballsy to try it when you are only up one goal.

Linus Ullmark does it all. He was ready to drop the gloves to fight Matthew Tkachuk. He might have a Gordie Howe hat trick one of these days.

Ilya Sorokin the second Islanders goalie to score (Billly Smith first). And he did it the same way Smith did too, being the last to touch the puck before the opposing team put it into their own empty net. So the Islanders have two goalie goals in history and neither guy actually took a shot.
