Did anyone notice the Samantha (Bewitched) doll sitting on Gidget's chest of drawers in her bedroom in Season 1, episode 17 "I love you, I love you, I think"? It's only briefly shown in one scene but I saw it and then looked up vintage 1965 Samantha doll on ebay and there it was. Same red costume, hat and all. Just interesting to see since Bewitched was so popular in 1965 and it too was shot on the Columbia Studios lot where Gidget was also filmed.

Yes, you're right. I believe we talked about this a year or 2 ago on the Bewitched message place. Not only that but in another Gidget episode she's supposed to deliver flowers to Elizabeth Montgomery. Unfortunately Sam didn't appear in that Gidget show but they did seem to be promoting Bewitched. Too bad Bewitched didn't do some promoting of Gidget it might have lasted longer than the all too brief year it was on.

Yes, I do seem to remember an episode where Gidget was to deliver flowers to Liz now that you mention it! I have the series on DVD but haven't watched it in a long time.
