Didn't they have any babes back in that era? The clothing that the women are wearing, does not help any.

Things pick up at times. For example, lovely Lynn Borden makes 3 appearances, each time as a different character. She and Brian Keith made for a nice-looking couple. (Lynn was best known for starring in the final season of Hazel.) Here she is in a Get Smart episode - love her flowing hair:
If she didn't elicit a stiffo from Bill Davis, you'd have to presume he was gay. So hot! Leslie Parrish was another extreme hottie, however her interest in Bill Davis was not reciprocated, as she had "used" Mr. French to try to "get" Bill: Also for now, Lee Meriwether is noteworthy, but IIRC her character and Bill agreed that their circumstances dictated friendship sans romance. |

Nina Shipman was another certified hottie who appeared in Season 4, "The Girl Graduate" (1/1/1970). I can't recall her role but she must have caught Bill's eye, such a lovely woman. WOW.
Anna Navarro was a beautiful guest in the 2-part Season 3 episode "Lost in Spain" (2/1969), though most of the focus was on the search for the lost twins rather than Bill making time with her: Another attractive guest was Joyce Van Patten, who played a comedienne that can't win Bill over in Season 5 ("Class Clown," 11/70): |

Once in a while we have a hot female guest who is important to the episode, but not as a character for Bill to romance. Sarita Vara played the mother of Radames Pera's character, a boy who is the son of a foreign leader. Sarita's hair was very short in the episode (Season 5, "The Littlest Exile" 1/71), but here we see what a knockout she was with long hair & sexy clothes:
Holy Moley! ![]() Here's Ms. Vara on Family Affair: Another example is June Lockhart, who plays Jody's substitute teacher -- see my earlier thread about her, "Why Jody Is 'Hot for Teacher.'" Once again not one of Bill's dates. Finally I wanted to add that I see Ms. Meriwether had 2 appearances ('67 and '70), I only recalled one. Here she is in one of those, very formal: |

Okay, yes, I watched most of season 1, skipped most of season 2, and started season 3 so maybe it gets better for him. I always feel bad for Pete Malloy and his homely car-wrecking date.

Season 3, Brioni Farrell (Xenia Gratsos): I believe her character comes about as close to marrying Bill as any do -- but IIRC they have different ideas about Cissy & the twins staying on to form a blended family, so a potential wedding is called off.
She was Greek-American, though playing an Italian lady on FA. These first 2 photos are from the Family Affair ep; her appeal is somewhat exotic, a pretty lady: Lovely eyes: Stunning on this 1974 magazine cover, beautiful hair: |

He did seem to specialize in older middle aged women who all looked like they'd been around the block a few times. He had a couple winners but most of them were the type I'd have walked on by.
This show was sort of the opposite of Bachelor Father, now that guy dated really hot women and every hot girl he met seemed to be begging to go out. Now that's what I call living a TV sitcom kind of life, never happens in real life. But wouldn't it be sweet. Maybe Uncle Bill's sorry circumstance was more reality based than fantasy.

Let's have a look at Julie Parrish. Unfortunately for Bill, his chances for romance are more or less scuttled by the twins' carelessness. They accidentally shatter a pre-Colombian era statuette, and the fake they create to replace it fools the experts. Julie's character becomes very upset over the incident (Season 5). Here she is, quite lovely:
After looking at that last photo, I think I need a cold shower. So gorgeous.

Season 2: Once more, romance is in the air. Martha Hyer plays actress Carol Haven, who is seriously interested in Bill Davis. Here they are:
Very glamorous in this photo -- maybe the most beautiful image of Martha I've ever seen, really love it: I like this next photo also, so seductive: In the next 2 photos, Martha shows us she has the "goods," so to speak: And we finish with classic Hollywood cheesecake: |

Season 1: Bill is dating a character played by Kipp Hamilton. Here's how she looked on Family Affair:
I like that hairstyle for her, bringing out its fullness and showing off great color. Unmistakable smile, a pretty face: Among her more memorable work, here's how she looked on Bewitched: Here's an early photo. Very sadly her life was claimed from her by cancer while still in her 40s. |

While not truly someone Bill Davis is dating, in Season 4 Cissy's friend Carla really believes she'll marry Bill -- but he squashes the very young woman's passionate behavior. Here's how Darleen Carr looked on FA:
Love the long hair look, from the 1968 film The Impossible Years: I'm a Darleen Carr fan who became smitten by her from her later, regular role on The Streets of San Francisco. So while the upshot is that she's too young for Bill, her attractiveness nonetheless would make her difficult for ME to dismiss -- go for it Bill, and marry her as soon as legally possible! Here's Darleen in the '70s: I preferred her as a brunette, but this photo reveals her mesmerizing eyes: |

Jacqueline Bertrand (1925-2008) as Miss Maria Cantelli, an Italian lady Bill is seeing in Season 1 (ep. 17, That Was the Dinner That Wasn't, Jan 9, '67). For a woman in her 40s, she is remarkably attractive.
"A woman wears a certain look...When she is on the move" -- Gary Puckett. Little gloves and an expensive fur: "And you want her, and she wants you..." -- Howard Jones Quite a seductive look, Miss Maria / Jacqueline has lovely blonde hair: Not the mothering type: Come on, Bill, what is it going to take for you to drop your hammer? She wants you badly. You can make it happen. Finally, how lovely is this: Jacqueline is looking at a display for the 15th anniversary of Hallmark's Hall of Fame series on NBC, 1966: |
