Unless the show had big ratings and he was the star, the producers usualy dont give in to actor's demands for more money or they will walk out. That might have been one of the reason producres let him go at the end of season.

Yup that got the termination ball rolling lol And if you noticed, he was missing in a lot of eps in season 3
