Ever since the debut of Tickle Me Elmo I never understood based on the popularity of Tickle Me Elmo that every Christmas every hot most-wanted toy was a Sesame Street toy and soon became a hot trend. After the success of Tickle Me Elmo the popular toy was Sing And Snore Ernie and it too was a Christmas sell-out when it debuted. Was it because a lot people bought Sesame Street toys for the new generation of children or was it just a Christmas fad. I think why Tickle Me Elmo became a popular toy was because Elmo was very popular on Sesame Street at the time and based on that success they added more characters to the Tickle Me series like Tickle Me Big Bird and Tickle Me Ernie as well. And now I have noticed every year that nobody is buying Sesame Street toys as much and it seems that the fad died down now
