Mamie was the Abbotts’ black maid and nanny who fell for Jack’s late father, John. Jill wouldn’t have it so she paid Mamie a large sum of money to leave town.

I don't know anything about that stuff. It must have been way before I started watching. I started watching in about 2007 or 2008.

BTW, since we’re discussing soaps, have you heard about the Victoria Rowell situation on Y&R? According to her, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) spat water out on her while they were doing a dramatic scene and the whole thing made it on air, no repercussions. She also claimed that Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) came out one time wearing an afro wig and started wildly dancing and gyrating while she (Victoria Rowell) was busy working, apparently trying to mock the way she (Victoria Rowell) was wearing her hair at the time. She also said that Peter Bergman (Jack) called her cuckoo and “mentally unstable”. The alleged behind the scenes shenanigans are why Victoria Rowell quit Y&R and hasn’t returned since.

I'm sorry, but I can't get into a story involving the murder/dismemberment/cruelty of innocent animals. Not funny to me so it negates the entire story for me. Just not my thing.

Now back to Y&R. What are your thoughts on Heather dumping Daniel? What are your thoughts on Heather acting like she is Lucy's mother? Jeez, the woman isn't even married to Daniel. It's not like Summer with Harrison. Summer is actually Harrison's stepmom so right there is a big difference.

What pisses me off is that Heather went to Daniel’s terrible looking hotel room just to tell him that it’s over. Like what the hell? She couldn’t tell him over the phone? Why come back to town and visits his hotel room just to tell him and leave? And it’s pathetic that Heather acts like she gave birth to Lucy. That entire relationship is unrealistic to me to be honest. Does Lucy even know that Sheila Carter’s her “maw maw”?

Oh, Daisy did die? I don’t recall that. I do remember that Daisy had an aunt who had plastic surgery to look like Lauren. That storyline was almost as bad as Phyllis getting raped by Jack’s Peruvian lookalike and turning to her brother-in-law who’s 15 years younger than her.

Yep, Daisy definitely died. I vaguely remember her dying in the back seat of Daniel's car, but I forget what the circumstances were.
I was not watching when the aunt had plastic surgery to look like Lauren.
I remember the Marco storyline and that had to be one of the worst, most ridiculous and unbelievable. I can't think of a Y&R story that was worse.

Really? You weren’t watching? It was around the same time that Jill found out she was Lauren’s sister. BTW, what made you start watching Y&R?

I started watching Y&R only because Guiding Light was getting cancelled (2008) so it was just to fill the void. I do enjoy Y&R, but let me tell you Guiding Light was a zillion times better IMO.
I didn't mind the actress switch when Phyllis was in the coma. I felt so bad for Summer who was missing her mom. Remember how selfish Phyllis was when she showed up at the Shick wedding to cause chaos? She had only one thing on her mind. She was walking down the aisle and an elated Summer ran up to her to give her a hug and what does Phyllis do? She literally pushes her away. What a BITCH!
The most unbelievable storyline is probably BB's Finn being declared dead and then mysteriously, inexplicably being resurrected without question from anyone.
