What was the meaning of the phrase "Never try eating nectarines since juice may dispense?"

That's the mnemonic he came up with to remember the kids' names, youngest to oldest: Nicholas, Tommy, Elizabeth, Nancy, Susan, Joanie, Mary, David.

Do you remember the one that puts them in order from oldest to youngest? I think it was mentioned in the first episode with Abby, but it's been a lot of years since I watched that show so I could be wrong.

Dumb Martians Just Sit Nearby, Eating Tender Noodles

I liked the first one better, but it was never mentioned again after the pilot. The "Dumb Martians" one was mentioned in several different episodes.

Yeah, I like the first one better too. Either way, it always struck me as funny that someone would have enough children to warrant devising a memory aid.
