Ridiculous. He's trying to create controversy to sell books. You cant force people to invite you or buy your book. There are plenty of Bible study groups that would love to invite him. In a free society you dont get to force yourself on to someone else's property and then claim discrimination.
It goes both ways. Remember Air America? It was a liberal radio talk show they wanted to take on the national level. No one listened to it. Yet they would go to cities and claim discrimination and end up on the dial somewhere. It eventually went off the air. His book is not selling so he is resorting to "poor me, I am being discriminated against". Years ago liberalism was defined as victimhood. Liberals could not get ahead in life because of discrimination. Now its fake conservatives that have turned into liberals with their discrimination allegations. If I wrote a book that no one was interested in, I would never claim discrimination. Just maybe Kirk your book is full of falsehoods and your distorted Biblical opinion. People are free not to listen to your lectures or buy it. There are tons of venues that love you. Stick to them. Imagine this concept in reverse. Someone writes a secular book and demands to be invited to Bible studies to read it and sell it. They dont get invivted so they start suing churches across the country. The hypocrisy is astounding. |

Apparently, I missed this, BUT early last month, February 9, Kirk Cameron came to Savannah, Georgia, an Hour South of my Hometown, to promote his new kids' book "As You Grow" for Children of All Ages and their Parents/Grandparents. Last month's event was held at the Chatham County Public Library on Bull Street--and I sincerely REGRET not knowing sooner than this morning about the event, because IF I'd known about it ahead of time, I'd have LOVED with a passion to attend the event as a die-hard fan of Kirk Cameron via not just as an actor, but as a human being despite his recent Controversies such as getting a Librarian fired over accusations of "unkind" behavior. |
