Watching the 1968 Charlton Heston flick "Will Penny", and the opening credits state "Introducing Lee Majors"

It's a trip watching this in contemplation of what Majors would soon go on to.

I've developed quite an interest in ferreting out debut or otherwise early appearances of actors who have gone on to starring roles.
Some you really have to ask "just when did (blank) become a "star"?

Beginning on ABC-TV's The Big Valley's airings from Sept. 1965 onward, Majors had a very substantial role as Heath Barkley. So while being "introduced" to film audiences, his small-screen presence had been noteworthy for a good while prior.
