Rarely if ever shown on Toon In With Me, and maybe only the second or third airing on Saturday. Had minor censorship on CBS, when Hassan slammed Daffy with his sword (although the camera showed only the result)

Louvre Come Back To Me! (Pepé Le Pew - 1962 - Jones [co-director Maurice Noble]) - one of Milt Franklyn's last music scores, released after his passing earlier in 1962. He was missed.

The Hare-Brained Hypnotist (Bugs, Elmer - 1942 - Freleng) - this was the era of fat Elmer, but here he is close to final form. A Michael Maltese storyboard; Warren Foster used the character exchange element from this one in the later short "Hare Brush."

Mucho Locos (Speedy - 1966 - McKimson) - reused footage from several cartoons, including some MeTV has not shown, such as "China Jones." Also redrawn footage from "Tortilla Flaps" and "Mexicali Shmoes" (two more MeTV has shelved). The fire-breathing dragon lady (from "China Jones") was cut on CBS years ago.

The Squawkin' Hawk (1942 - Jones) - Michael Maltese's first cartoon with Chuck Jones

Raw! Raw! Rooster! (1956 - McKimson) - Rhode Island Red is probably voiced by Daws Butler, uncredited. In this short we learn Foggy went to college, presumably Rooster U. Originally a Looney Tunes cartoon.

Piker's Peak (Bugs, Yosemite Sam - 1957 - Freleng) - past censorship on ABC: the martini-mixing St. Bernard. Can't have a dog doing that!
Some interesting cartoons this morning. I doubt we will see China Jones show up on METV in its entirety.

"Rolling on the floor laughing..."

Let's just say the last part means "out loud"!

It's one of those cartoons that was in local TV syndication, but other than on Nick, it didn't get much exposure. And they edited the ending.

It's not on a commercial DVD; the only home video is several old VHS tapes. A restored print is on WarnerMedia RIDE.

EDIT: Also just found on Looney Tunes Wiki Fandom, it was on The Porky Pig Show in 1965. I just discovered my copy of the cartoon on a DVD is probably dubbed from a tape from Nickelodeon (no network graphics down in the corner back then), so mine is edited. So now I'll try to hunt down a Beta copy from Porky and Friends syndication in the 1980s, or maybe one of those VHS commercial issues. I probably shouldn't bother--it's not a very good cartoon. The dragon lady bit is pretty funny, though!

Default Toon In With Me - Tue. 1/24/23 - New Episode 469

"The Safety Dans Go Green"

Stork Naked (Daffy - 1955 - Freleng) - tipsy stork, Native American stereotypes early on--this was too much for the Turner networks, which have probably shelved this one. This cartoon has nasty Daffy, rather than greedy Daffy or daffy Daffy. Here he's more like the DePatie-Freleng era, post 1964.

Highway Runnery (Road Runner - 1965 - Larriva)

The Pink Pill (Pink Panther - 1968 - Chiniquy)

A Pizza Tweety-Pie (Tweety, Sylvester - 1958 - Freleng)

(blooper) Bunny! (Bugs - 1997 - Ford, Lennon) - cartoon made in 1991 for theatrical release, which never happened--was rediscovered, shelved, in 1997 by CN

Cheese Chasers (1951 - Jones)
Per Looney Tunes Wiki, The Daffy Doc is edited as of this airing, Jan 12, 2023, on MeTV. They cut Daffy holding up a sign during an operation, which said: "Hush Yo Mouf!"

Default Bugs Bunny and Friends - Sat. 1/28/23

Beanstalk Bunny (Bugs, Daffy - 1955 - Jones) - past censorship on other networks is the scene where giant Elmer tries to smoke tinyBugs and Daffy out of his head. The cartoon appears to be mastered from a 16mm print; there is speculation that the original 35mm film is lost or damaged.

The Jet Cage (Tweety, Sylvester - 1962 - Freleng) - as noted before, the music score is credited to Milt Franklyn, but due to his death, the score was completed by William Lava

Hare-abian Nights (Bugs - 1959 - Harris) - oddly this cartoon, with Yosemite Sam, was produced by Jones' unit with no involvement from Freleng's unit. This was unique in the classic era. It does reuse footage from a previous Freleng cartoon and two previous Jones shorts.

The Mouse-merized Cat (1946 - McKimson) - from 3:27 - 3:38 Catstello morphs into Rochester, taking a call from Mr. Benny. This was also unedited on MeTV on 10/23/2021 (but has been censored on other networks). Total unedited time is 6:23.

Zoom and Bored (Road Runner - 1957 - Jones)

Road to Andalay (Speedy, Sylvester - 1964 - Freleng [co-director Hawley Pratt]) - one of the few Speedy snd Sylvester cartoons MeTV airs, but infrequently

Hare-Breadth Hurry (Bugs - 1963 - Jones [co-director Maurice Noble])

Does someone know if The Mouse-merized Cat showed unedited on Bugs and Friends today? The unedited version aired on MeTV on 10/23/21, including a Rochester impersonation from 3:27 to 3:38.

It’s too bad that HBO Max got rid of the Honeymousers shorts in their Looney Tunes Library. I did record all three of them but the first one (called the Honeymousers coincidentally) is unplayable on my disc. The disc must be dirty.
