Dana Delany won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series in 1992 for China Beach – which ended after the 1990-91 season. The fourth season of China Beach was plagued with low ratings and was put on hiatus after 9 episodes in December of 1990. The last six episodes, including the series finale, were burned off during the summer of 1991. It was because of the burn off that Dana Delany became eligible for the 1992 Drama Series Actress Emmy, yet she did ZERO during the 91-92 season, I would have been fine with it if China Beach had a fifth season in 91-92 (and ended after that) had low ratings not plagued it during the previous season. Dana Delany already won the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series Emmy Award in 1989, after the show's second season.

I don't think that someone should win an Emmy Award for one season if the performance was on a summer burn-off from a series from the previous season. Angela Lansbury of Murder, She Wrote should have won the Outstanding Actress Emmy in 1992 instead.

1989 - Dana Delany
1990 - Patricia Wettig
1991 - Dana Delany (instead of Wettig winning a second time)
1992 - Angela Lansbury (instead of Delany)

No offense to Dana Delany or any fans of her.

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

do you think that China Beach was plagued with low ratings and was put on hiatus because it did not follow college football directy?

In Season 2 one of the episodes with the bride who falls/is pushed (I haven't finished it yet) who is known to have a bunch of plastic surgery, she meets with the dr who did the work, and asks her if she'd like a facelift because she's at that age.

HAHAHAHAH
