Yep. "Friendly Navajo, selling rugs and trinkets" edit on ABC years ago. CN probably just shunned the whole cartoon.

All the 50's Popeye cartoons have not been officially restored since the 90's. Today's Popeye cartoon is unique, as Bill mentioned, it was originally animated in 3D. Most of the 50's Popeye cartoons are usually cheaters or remakes of earlier Popeye cartoons. Ace of Space is a soft remake of Rocket To Mars (1946).

Another possible reason for the lack of an official restoration, is that alot of 50's Popeye cartoons are in the public domain.

They haven't done much with Superman yet -- only 2 or 3 shown so far that I have noticed.

The Fleischer Superman cartoons were really of high quality. They're definitely worthwhile, and I've found most public domain compilations to be acceptable. In some of the other Fleischer series, use of the Rotoscope can be a little distracting. I don't feel that way about the Supermans.

Default Bugs Bunny and Friends - Sat. 1/14/23

Acrobatty Bunny (Bugs - 1946 - McKimson) - McKimson's first Bugs cartoon; he took over Frank Tashlin's position when he left

Hamateur Night (1939 - Avery)

Frigid Hare (Bugs - 1949 - Jones) - Bugs takes that wrong turn at Albuquerque again and ends up at the South Pole, where he tries to save a little penguin from a hungry native. When CBS aired this cartoon they used the original title card rather than making a new one, as they normally did.

Porky the Giant Killer (1939 - Ben Hardaway, Cal Dalton)

Tweety's S. O. S. (Tweety, Sylvester - 1951 - Freleng)

Case of the Missing Hare (Bugs - 1942 - Jones)

I remember the “Frigid Hare” title card on CBS, and thought, THAT’S weird. However I am almost sure that they had the usual “dom casual” title card when it first ran on the Bugs/RR Hour. I wonder if their card was lost or something, but that wouldn’t make sense. Anyway today’s airing of Frigid Hare seems uncut. The Eskimo Pie & 1953 references remained.

Edit: I seem to recall that FH went missing from Saturday mornings for a couple of years, then returned with the WB title card. But what do I know?

There are a few cuts that could be made in Frigid Hare, the most common one being the dated reference to being back to work in 1953. The Eskimo-pie head reference to the native, get off me you baboon are others. It is uncut on MeTV but has never been shown on Toon In With Me--I wish it would be, sicne that would get it in 4:3 aspect ratio.

Right, it was off CBS for a few years. Possibly their print was damaged, including their title card and when they got another print, they just captured a slide of the original. It was strange, and unique.

Default Toon In With Me - Mon. 1/16/23 - New Episode 464

"Furnace Trouble"

The Abominable Snow Rabbit (Bugs, Daffy - 1961 - Jones [co-director Maurice Noble])

Booby Hatched (1944 - Tashlin)

Pinknic (Pink Panther - 1967 - Pratt)

Aqua Duck (Daffy - 1963 - McKimson)

Out and Out Rout (Road Runner - 1966 - Larriva)

Hippety Hopper (Sylvester - 1949 - McKimson) -- ooh, a mouse contemplating ending it all--gotta censor that--unsurprisingly, it was a few times. Eventually, ABC simply dropped the whole short.
