Question Colonoscopy

I had my first colonoscopy earlier today. How many people on here
have had that procedure?

Hey Lee, a member with Health interests....yea...

I have NEVER done one and I'm 84 and after a certain age they are not even pushed. I've done so much work with Grape Seed Extract and it has a lot of good medical advice and colon health.

Millions do them, but not me.

Is that the one where they hang you upside down by your ankles, and pour a barium milkshake up your you know what?

I've heard the procedure can be very humbling

There's no hanging upside down, GJ.

This goes back about 50 years, but a then adult professional friend told me that they strapped him on this huge "wheel of fortune" type upright table, spun him 180 degrees, and poured him full of this milkshake like sludge (barium rich), and then scoped him.

And he said that when they finished and returned him to the upright position, was the single most embarrassing event in his life. wooosh!

I had one around 20 years ago when I was either 24 or 25. I'll probably have another one sometime in 2023.

I'm not a western medicine tester as they want us to be, unless there is something really wrong and for me there is nothing wrong in that area of my body. One thing for certain you keep going to the doc for this and that or whatever, they will find something to work on with their drugs and tools. Big Business the Western Medicine stuff.

Haven't had it done, but one of my dad's cousins died from colon cancer, so that's a concern. My brother has had 2 colonoscopies, and polyps were removed.

I totally agree with you Caroline.

Don't get me wrong, I have sympathy for those who are in a position where ongoing medical care is a necessity.

But personally I believe the whole thing has become just too much of an enterprise.

Hang up a shingle, get a few dozen patients you can diagnose with chronic conditions, attach the siphon to their insurance policy, and bury them in an ocean of co-pays, ...till death do us part...etc.
The impetus is on the doctor to find billable revenue streams. SO guess what? He finds them.
