We're getting the "Comcast is threatening" crawls now on Antenna TV here in Indy. Probably they're on all the Nexstar stations--there are two "main" channels--the CBS and the Fox affiliate, plus however many subchannels they have.

When I was at my parent's house, they have some ridiculous "cable package" from ATT with like over a hundred channels on it including a Scientology channel and disgusting pornography.

BUT, for some asinine reason, it blocked the ABC affiliate over some "dispute". They have the dispute but the customer is the one who suffers. There is a local show once a week I watch plus Dr Phil. I dont see why the ABC affiliate isnt screaming about this everyday.

Why is anyone paying for TV anymore? Ever hear of the internet?

I found it humorous last week watching a commercial for a satellite dish company bragging that they were including a powered antenna as part of their bundle that way enabling the subscriber to view the major networks free (many diginets included at no additional cost, they bragged)

Of course, reception of locals has always been a weakness for the dish companies (which is one of the reasons the cable companies try to include them)

But after seeing the way this is now unfolding, I suspect the "bundled antenna" aspect was thought out as a counter measure to what is going down with Comcast

Why isn’t antenna tv available for streaming?

They really should be on Frndly TV. I hope Frndly and antenna tv can come together to make it happen.

You can use both an antenna and cable on most TVs and in most cases for non-sports fans, you’ll find a much greater value with the antenna!
Everything you say is true, and I have a nice auxiliary antenna and am blessed to live in a sweet spot, receptionwise.

Never have any problem with METV or Cozi, but, have friends on the other side of downtown who cannot make the same boast

And the local reception of Comet is garbage half the time.

Just the other day I was vacuuming in the room where the auxiliary antenna is located, and I bundled up the cord and tossed the whole thing, cord and all onto the top of a clothes hamper just to keep from snagging the cord with the vacuum.

AND incredibly now I'm getting better reception from Comet than I've ever gotten any other way. I'll KILL anybody who tries to move that antenna now.

On Facebook, Comcast and Dish advertise their products and it is FUNNY to read the comment section because literally it is almost all complaints on how bad the service is or the cost. Mostly people complain about the "bait and switch" aspect of it, being charged an initial low price just to have the price go up considerably after they join. Or complain that their favorite station has been dropped. The posters will even give alternatives for other companies. Or former DISH customers complaining how the "dish" doesnt work when there is weather outside. DISH actually has someone who comments back apologizing. If you do Facebook and come across these (and the phone carriers like Cricket too), read them for a laugh.

Greyhound is another one who advertises occasionally that gets slammed by comments. Mostly because of their awful service, a bad trip, dirty stations or the lunatics who ride the bus. I commented on the Greyhound one asking why does Greyhound advertise with them knowing that they will get 99% negative comments. I dont know why Greyhound even bothers since they know that almost no one rides them unless they are poor and/or desperate to go somewhere far away.
