Ashley is kinda weird. I don’t get why she’s still on speaking terms with Tucker when Jack said that he suspects Tucker’s trying to take over Jabot. Yet she wants to sit there and talk about how it pains her to sit at a table with Diane. Talk about dumb.

TVLegend, I forgot to mention this to you... I was reminded because just a few minutes ago, a thread here titled: Celebrities who have visited these boards just got bumped up. Anyway, on another site: soapcentral.com, I was in the Y&R board, and I started a thread about Bryton James (Devon) and his acting abilities. It was back when Neil was married to Hilary and Devon was fighting his feelings for her. He got super drunk and he was in an elevator with Hilary acting all drunk and yapping about his feelings. Anyway, I started the thread applauding Bryton James and his terrific acting abilities, how he came off as truly drunk. So to make a long story short, the real Bryton James responded to me and even made a post in that thread. Jeez, that was years ago, but I was reminded just now.

Wow, nice. I bet you were kinda excited yet scared as hell at the same time. LOL. I didn’t know you were on Soap Central. I might have seen you on there before. What’s your account? And speaking of soap opera message boards, you ever visited Soap Opera Network?

I was very star struck and in such awe that Bryton James responded to me. I remember being very excited! Sometimes, I still visit that soap opera site, but I haven't been there in a very long time because I couldn't take all the "Ben" propping on the DOOL board. Anyway, my handle was H_Harriet (named after my cat, Harriet) LOL. So I mostly stopped posting there because I HATE, HATE, HATE Ben Weston and the propping was literally making me sick.

Oh, I never visited Soap Opera Network. Any good?

SON’s okay, it’s much more active there than it is here. And the people there have an interesting sense of humor, or in other words, they’re total fools.

I’m hoping you didn’t ask Bryton to marry you and become a step daddy. Just playing with you.

I don’t know exactly what’s your kind of sitcom, but since I’m watching it on TV One now, I’m tempted to ask: Have you ever watched the sitcom Living Single with Queen Latifah? I think you’d like it.

I've seen some of Living Single. I thought it was pretty good. Kim Fields was good in it too. I liked the "Kadijah" character best. Is that one of your favorite sitcoms? I suppose my favorite sitcoms of all time periods are Seinfeld, King of Queens, Steve Harvey Show, 227, The Jeffersons, Maude, Good Times, What's Happening, Diff'rent Strokes, Alice, Three's Company, Dennis the Menace, Hazel, Mom, Adventures of Old Christine, Amen, Everybody Hates Chris, etc. Too many to name. What are some of your favorites? Oh, I forgot to mention Martin. There were some funny episodes with that one.

Yeah, Living Single is one of my favorites. Out of what you said, I like 227, The Jeffersons, Maude, Good Times, What’s Happening, Diff’rent Strokes, Alice, Three’s Company, Everybody Hates Chris and Hazel a lot. Oh, and Martin’s good too. Did you like the characters Martin played? My favorites were Mama Payne, Sheneneh, and Old Otis the Security Guard. I was just watching an episode last week where Mama Payne overhears Gina talking with the insurance man and assumes that “Applehead” is trying to kill her baby, Martin. So she ends up slipping a note in one of her biscuits she made for Martin warning him about the insurance thing. And at the end she visits the apartment again and Gina finally tells her off. I think I also caught the end of the episode where Martin and Gina run off and get married last week too. Mama Payne was arguing with Gina’s parents and she told Gina’s dad not to make her go to a funeral and a wedding in the same damn day. Then Gina’s mom approached her and told her to back up off of her man and Mama Payne asked if she wanted to get it too and told her she could get it big time. Then of course Mama Payne freaks out and runs back and forth in the church when she finds out Martin and Gina aren’t at the church and ran off to get married elsewhere.

Funny stuff! Mama Payne was a riot! I got a big kick out of Martin's "Sheneneh" character. Damn, that was one ugly woman! The woman who played "Gina" was also a regular on Everybody Hates Chris. She was the x-con neighbor, "Peaches." She was funny in that, too. Tisha Campbell is funny. The woman in Martin who played "Pam" is Tischina Arnold and she was also in Everybody Hates Chris as "Rochelle", Chris' mom. Good show.

I didn’t know Tisha was a regular on Everybody Hates Chris, I thought she was only on a few episodes. I knew that Pam was on there, but not Tisha as a regular.

And I can’t believe that a young lady as ghetto and unattractive as Sheneneh had a boyfriend who was living with her and having sex with her. That man must’ve been blind, crippled, and crazy.

Now that I think of it, I think you're right. I only remember Tisha on season 4.

Yeah, surprising that Sheneneh had a boyfriend who gave her sex.

Did you ever see the Martin episodes where Aunt Esther played the old lady who was always hanging out with Mama Payne and Cole’s mother? She was funny.

And while we’re on the subject of Martin, do you think it ever jumped the shark? I think it did in the 5th season when Tisha was absent for half of the season and they had to do those filler episodes. Do you think that you’d watch a 6th season of Martin if Pam adopted a little boy who’s been abused like Wilona adopting Penny on Good Times to fill the void of Gina? I gotta admit, I’d probably LOL if that happened and they did an episode where Roscoe (the little snot nosed kid played by Martin also) was bullying the boy at school.

LaWanda Page was always funny in any episode she was in.

I didn't care for Penny from Good Times, but for Martin, it might have been interesting if Pam adopted a little boy being bullied by Roscoe. That's a good idea!

Well, in that case, if you don’t mind, please stop by the Martin board and check out a thread I did there about ideas for a 6th season if the show was renewed and give me your thoughts. I think you might like some of them.

Anyway, what has happened on Y&R since the Thanksgiving episode? Did anything interesting happen so far? I’ll try to catch up on the CBS app this week.

I have to catch up on YR myself.
I'll check on the Martin board soon!

Speaking of Martin, I was just curious, since Pam always made jokes on the show about Martin’s height: I don’t know how tall you are, but is a man being Martin’s height (5’7”-5’8”) a turn off for you? Let’s say you met this man and the two of you became good friends and eventually he begins to have feelings for you and admits that to you, and deep down you think he looks decent but he is not that tall, maybe 5’7” or 5’8”. Would you date this said man if he asked you out? I had this conversation with my sister and she told me that a short man like Martin would be a turn off for her and one reason why she married my brother-in-law is because he’s like over six feet.
