The Stockard Channing Show aired in 1980 on CBS. Stockard Channing played a character named Susan Goodenhow, who had just landed a job working for egotistical crusader Brad Gabriel because her friend Earline was a secretary at the station that aired Brad's program, "The Big Rip-Off." Mr. Clyde was the general manager of the station, which was owned by his wife. Mr. Kramer was the owner of the old apartment building in West Hollywood where Susan and Earline lived. His fatherly interest in Susan compensated for a notable lack of skill as a handyman.

Stockard Channing also did another sitcom for CBS in 1979, and the official title of it was "Stockard Channing in Just Friends".

I suggest you check out the book "The Complete Directory To Primetime Network And Cable TV Shows," available at bookstores.
It has complete cast lists and synopses of both Stockard Channing shows.
You might want to try the Internet Movie Database (www.IMDB.com). They will probably have a cast list of both shows.

Wow! At the time of that post I had never even seen the show and I was just copying that info from a book. I've owned the DVD set of the series for quite a few years now. Stockard Channing In Just Friends is also included in the set.

Good actress, but I would like to know why she has such a stupid first name. Stockard? Sounds like stockyard.
