Me either. Feels like those were just on.

Then again, it's about as old as some of the 70's shows I watched on Nick At Nite and TV Land when I was a kid.

Everything after the mid 90's or so still feels modern to me.

Just got through watching last night’s episodes of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living that aired on BET and both of them are starting to stink big time. I don’t even know why I’m still watching. On House of Payne, one of the characters named C.J. had this drone or whatever and his son ended up breaking it or something along the lines of that, and C.J. responds to the matter by giving his son, his son’s girlfriend, and his cousin’s girlfriend some talk. Curtis and Ella were just background characters throughout the whole episode, the neighbor was nowhere to be found, Calvin wasn’t shown that much either, and C.J.’s wife and his daughter have been absent throughout the whole season and a big chunk of last season. And Assisted Living was no better.

On Assisted Living, one of the characters’ (I think her name is Miss Anastasia or something like that) identical twin sister showed up wanting to see her yet the character didn’t want to see her sister. At the end, it was revealed that the twin sister bullied the Miss Anastasia woman because she wasn’t as smart as her and their mother did nothing. It could’ve been a good episode if it didn’t lack substance and knowing when and when not to try and make a joke. Overall, the forced laugh track on both shows is just terrible.

Speaking of, just curious, does anyone one else watch Mr. Perry’s work? The dude has gotta start hiring writers other than himself and quit trying to be writer, executive producer, director, creator, show runner, wardrobe manager, security guard, psychiatrist, and music director all at the same time.
