Is it just me, or does that seem like a lot of snow?
Western New York is bracing for an "extreme" lake-effect snowstorm that could dump up to 5 feet of snow in the Buffalo region over the coming days. https://abcnews.go.com/US/significan...ry?id=93414183 |

They should scoop it up, use jet engines to melt it, load it into rail tank cars, and ship it to lake Mead.

Five feet isn't really that much though, the length of two and a half men.

I know a guy from High School from Memphis who in his adulthood took a job in the Buffalo area and is happy there. Raising a family there and is content. I asked him about it. I have never been in that part of the country but from other videos, it seems depressing to me, the whole Northeast does. The countryside is probably beautiful but the cities depressing, plus the high taxes it costs to live in New York State.
Plus the horrible winter weather. Buffalo is infamous for this. It is only November and the start of winter and Christmas is still over a month away and these people are drowning in snow. No thanks. Much less the bitterly cold weather. But, I do have cousins who live in Iowa and Minnesota. My father grew up in Iowa and tells some gruesome stories of winter there and the COLD. I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and it does get cold there, but at worse for a week the temperatures might drop to the 20's Fahrenheit. I have never shoveled snow in my life. What they get are ICE storms periodically. Those suck, although it is beautiful to see (until limbs fall off of trees, cant walk without risk of falling and driving a car is an exercise of pure terror.) |
