I had 2 unexplainable things happen around me in my life before. nothing bit just minor.
I was alone in my home and the calender started shaking forcefully really fast, no winds or anything to do it. it was kind of freaky. and the other is all the lights turned on in my house at the same time with no sound of it turning on they just turned on. Has anyone else had an unsolved mystery? |

I'm presently 44 yrs. of age so speaking of what I'm about to tell you will seem rather odd to most viewers of this post. When I was a young girl in the early sixties I recall having what appeared to be a dream as I lay on an antique loveseat just below my grandmothers picture window in her living room
on the farm located in Isabella County, Mi. I remember vividly of 4 to 5 beings standing there in the window peering in at me. The faces i remember quite well as they were a bit distorted they were also bald with round eyes a feature that was very prominent in their appearance what was so unusual, was they were discussing something,in which, I thought they were referring to me as they gazed down upon me. the most bizaree image I'll never forget they hadn't any mouths no lips no mouths whatsoever! But they were communicating and I could hear them and they could hear each other.. Now let me add to the record this may very well have been a dream but for weeks following I was haunted by nightmares of these faces and they kept stretching out of proportion long and then fat and small. Believe me you I was much to young to know these hallucinations and blurry abstract images in my dreams were taunting me endlessly for weeks. I never spoke of this to anyone they would consider me absolutely silly. The years following I began being somewhat psychic in my dreams so eventually I just decided I didn't wan to dream at all, especially after my sisters accident I was warned about ahead of time. Anyway getting back to the subject at hand, I thought for a minute one night(late90's to 2000) I could see something in the sky rather to far off to tell whether or not it was any thing spectaacular or some phenomenon but it was very bright and I just had a funny feeling and then I found myself saying aloud go away and leave me alone, I feel really silly and in no way am I delusional I just am perplexed on this whole thing..the low hanging star(sorta oblong) vanished..I'm too skeptical and open to different opinions and theories yet until I'm absolutely sure this wasn't a dream I'm probably going to shrug it off like the rest of the world full of some people who'd rather close their eyes and conform to this new society..God bless and keep you however you concieve you're God. This is a immense universe and we are a small important part in it.. Evelyn Mele

When I was six, I was playing around and accidently got hung up by my neck in a swingset in my backyard and my mother was unable to unhook it! A stranger heard our frantic panicked carrying on and he came around to the back yard and unhooked my neck from the swingset before I. He left before we even had the chance to thank him or learn his name. We never saw him before or since nor could imagine what he was doing in our neighborhood around 6PM on a weekday.

That sounds like you came into contact with aliens. Especially since you said they had no mouths or lips, but seemed to be communicating with one another. I've read that UFO sightings dramatically increased during World War II. Since you have not mentioned any cuts or anything my guess is that whatever they are, they are not hostile. If in the alternative, they were not aliens, then there's the possibility of something else. I've read in accounts that most alien beings have american accents which questions whether they are actually U.S. Government Officials. Although, if the beings were speaking to each other in a unknown language or communication they might have very well have been greys or some species of alien being. I've been studying UFOs and aliens since I was 10 years old. Whatever the case I don't think you have any reason to be afraid of whatever you saw, whether it be aliens, ghosts or whatnot. Try something I read in a book this week. Wave at it and see if it waves back. I've read that this is percieved as a friendly gesture. |

I lost my sanity a few years ago. I keep looking for it, but I don't think it's coming back...

One night back in the early 1990's, still a bit before caller ID (or before my parents had it, anyway) the phone rang. I answered it and there was quite a bit of static on the line. A lady says "Davey?" and I said "looks like you have the wrong num.." and she cut me off and said "hi Davey...listen...is now a good time...I really need to talk to you". Again I started to tell her that she had the wrong number. But she just kept on talking. She said "through all of this, I believe it's become quite clear what I need to do...see...you probably didn't even know that I have been in Toronto for weeks now". This was really freaking me out at this point. I said "listen....may I ask you something?" and she said very nervously "yeah yeah". And I said "do you know anyone in Alabama?" and she said "where?" and I said "Alabama. As in the state of Alabama. Located in the United States. The southeastern United States, to be specific". And she said "no..no...I've only ever been to the USA once...maybe twice...and that was just across the border in Michigan". So I proceed to explain that she has called someone in the state of Alabama. She gasps and says "look, Davey, if it isn't a good time, then just tell me baby. I can always call back another time." Again I tried telling her that she had the wrong number. And again, that didn't seem to register with her. She just said "alone is not synonymous with loneliness my dear Davey. I'l try again tomorrow night. Perhaps you need some time to process this. Goodbye for now. Sweet dreams".
The whole thing was just...eerie. It's odd that someone could place a phone call to another country and not realize it. |

My birth mothers life was a mystery. My siblings and I were farmed out to various relatives and raised apart. We didn’t find out until after she died the extent to which her family went to separate her and us, and there was no reason why. She died a broken woman. When us siblings got together for the first time (after she died) we put together a very odd story with no good reason why they should keep us all apart. Anyone that knows the truth has gone on. We will never know. It’s a much longer story than I’ve listed here. People that hear it, their first comment is,” you should write a book about this.” I invested so much emotional energy into this when it happened, I don’t think I have it in me to write a book.

I’ve posted this before, but my paternal grandfather was a non-family adoptee. I know little about his origins other than the city in which he was born and his original last name (which is an extremely common name).

I have dealt with sleep paralysis since I was a child. It happens often and no longer scares the shxt out of me. I am used to waking up unable to move fully aware of everything around me. Sometimes I wake up and feel as if someone is in the room or I am about to stop breathing and my mind is racing but I am completely conscious and there is a will in me that will not let up until I wake and I am free again.
Well I discovered while working in a juvenile home when I was in my 20s that sleeping upright in a chair would cause me to have outer body experiences. I worked third shift and most nights I would come in and have some small talk with the boys in my cabin before they drift off to sleep. I would be on my phone watching movies with my bluetooth in and some nights I would inevitably drift off to sleep doing so. One night it was storming something awful outside. I was asleep upright in the chair and I woke up unable to move. I was fighting to wake myself up per usual but then I felt myself leave my body and float into the atmosphere. I began to move at such a high rate of speed and it was fun. It was thundering and lightning but I was not getting wet and the weather didn't scare me. It was actually fun and I remember thinking I'm going to go faster. Well as soon as I was about to propel myself further into the atmoshphere a voice spoke to me: You're going to far. Come back. It was not very loud or urgent just matter of fact. So I listened. I began descending at a high rate of speed and "popped" back into my body as I woke up. It was one of the most surreal experiences I ever had. It happened to me once more about 5 years later. I was now working grave yard shift at a psych hospital and on my hour breaks I would often go to my car and listen to some music and mess around on my phone. This night it was raining a bit and kind of cold, but I still decided to go out. I was in my car listening to music and I turned the heat up because I got cold. Well here I was again sitting up right in a chair drifting asleep. It began to storm something serious while I was out there but the heat had me in a deep sleep. I remember having the same experience leaving my body and ascending at a high rate of speed. I was enjoying myself and bouncing all around. It was like being a kid on a swing or something. Very satisfying. I was about to propel myself higher and I remembered the voice. I didn't hear it this time but I decided to descend back down. I was going at a very high rate of speed but I was no afraid and it was fun but not as fun as ascending higher. I popped back into my body and was instantly awake. I looked at my phone and I had been asleep for 1 hour and 40 minutes. I had like 5 missed called from my unit supervisor trying to figure out where I was at. Those experiences have stayed with me for years now and I make it a point to never fall asleep sitting upright in a chair. You can say I am batshxt crazy but I know I was fully conscious of everything that took place and I was not dreaming. The power of the mind is amazing and there is so much power we have that we are unable to tap into on this side of our existence. I'm no longer afraid of death and I know there is so much more we are capable of than this experience we call life. |

I don't think you're crazy at all IL. I myself have suffered from occasional bouts of sleep paralysis for the past 20 years or so, and IMO it's one of the most frustrating, inexplicable, scary, and just plain impossible to explain sleep disorders known to man. I only wish I had a dime for every time someone told me, "oh you were just dreaming", or "don't sweat it...it was just your imagination", because I'd be a wealthy woman today, LOL! I personally believe my sleep paralysis may be medication related and have noticed that it seems to act up particularly bad during periods of high stress. I'm really glad that you've been able to cope so well and view your experiences with such a positive perspective! |

To answer the OP's question, yes I have had my own personal unsolved mystery and it happened just recently as a matter of fact. Hopefully my fellow posters can give me their respective opinions on this one, so here goes...
A few weeks back my dad brought home some particularly beautiful bone-in pork chops from the grocery store and asked if we could have them for dinner that night. He asked me if I'd pretty please pan fry them in beer and butter which was a recipe my late mama shared with us a thousand years ago, and was always one of her personal favorites. He used what I call his "boo boo face" on me and like the total sucker I am, I folded like a cheap suit, lol. So we sit down to a lovely dinner and flick on a rerun of Law & Order when about half way through I start to hear what sounds like faint whimpers and scratching coming from our garage door. Worried that Harley, our little Italian Greyhound, has gotten trapped in the garage, I immediately get up to investigate. After a few minutes, I realize Harley isn't in the garage and decide to finish my dinner. Except, lo and behold, my plate looks undisturbed but for one small thing... The remaining half of my beautiful, oh so tasty pork chop is *gasp* GONE!! The following is a very rough transcript of my investigation into the incident now known in my household as "Pork Chop-gate": ME: HAAAAARLEY! Front and center young man!!! HARLEY (who skids to a stop in front of me, possibly chewing): What pork chop? ME (pointing angrily at my dinner plate): Do you know anything about this?? HARLEY: Well...it looks like Daddy might have stolen your pork chop. **Now at this point, my focus shifts to Dad who also appears to be suspiciously chewing something.** ME (trying to hold onto my temper): Dad, did you happen to see where my pork chop went? DAD: Uhhhhh...no? Did something happen to your pork chop? At this point I realize that it's unlikely the guilty party will ever be found and that what remains of my dinner is getting cold. So with a heavy heart and suspicious mind, I put an end to my investigation. Though Pork Chop-gate has been officially designated as a cold case, unanswered questions haunt me. For example, which hungry boy was the guilty party? Did Harley steal my pork chop and try to blame Dad? Did Dad steal my pork chop and hope that his "play dumb" routine would fly? Were they in on it together? And if it WAS Harley, was the garage door thing a prearranged set up designed to lure me away from my dinner plate, or simply a fortuitous circumstance that he used to his advantage? Perhaps YOU can help solve a mystery... |

I have no idea how one I am about to mention was NOT on Unsolved Mysteries. An elderly woman in her 70s was murdered in the middle of the night back in 1970. The accused was an 18 year old man who was said to have raped her as well. This is small town Canada. I was not born yet, but several of my family members knew this woman very well, as she was their neighbour.
The 18 year old had a trial but they found him not guilty. Even the judge said he was a very fortunate man. The elderly woman did not have any children or a husband and my guess is that as time went on she didn't really have any family to put pressure on the authorities to solve it. So it became a forgotten cold case. Anyway, the excuse the guy gave was that he was drunk that night, but still denies doing it. Just sounds like either some corruption helped him get off or incompetence, and it is probably the 2nd one. |
