I remeber their variety show. I have 4 episodes on dvd.

I watched their show back in the day. I don't know if the humor would make me laugh now - I remember it being pretty hokey. Still, it was a fun show. I think they're still together, though Jon "Bowser" Bauman is long gone.

I was looking through the CD racks and saw an album of new material by them dated 2006. Jocko is still in the group, but many of the members I don't recognize.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Bassman himself

Do NOT let the tough guy act fool you . He's a sweetheart! This was over 10 years ago. He left Sha Na Na in 1983 but tours with another group. He's in his 70s now but still going strong!

He's like Henry Winkler (The Fonz) in that he played a cool guy on TV, but is kind of geeky in real life.

I have an 8 track of one of thier concerts and its excellent!!!

Its a K-TEL collection and every song on this tape is at some concert they did..... (The records have 1 side of stuff NOT LIVE and that would ruin the spirit I think so Im glad K-TEL added some other live selections they did to fill the space........)

Yes...it's on Buzzr TV now. .....It only lasted a year though in the 80s on NBC

I love Sha Na Na! Lead singer Johnny Contardo was an excellent singer. He could have had a solo career. But all of them were very talented!

I think he still makes some albums .But I'm not sure. 3 of the guys from Sha Na Na are still with the group.
