Default How come Mike and Carol never had their own child?

With each bringing 3 kids into the marriage, obviously neither of them was averse to, well, you know. And before you say six is enough, there’s another TV show title that disproves that notion.

Not to mention Olivia and John Walton. How was there time for all the chores?

Knowing how Robert Reed complained to Sherwood about everything, maybe the idea came up and he objected.

I think it would have worked out better than adding Oliver in season 5. They could have made it a season 3 storyline. Just to keep things even Carol (Brady) could have had boy and girl twins.

I read somewhere that Sherwood would have dumped him for season 6, had there been one.

The only question would be, how to dump him.

There you go. Season 3 ending cliffhanger, how will the boy/girl tie be broken? Season 4 premiere, boy/girl twins to keep the status quo.

And season 5 the twins are aged up to precocious speaking age.

Obviously they would have named him Oliver.

It would have ruined the show just like Oliver did.

Each kid except for the oldest two only had the focus on them once or twice a season.

The show would have to focus on the baby each episode.

It would have been the Brady Baby, not the Brady Bunch.

A new baby would have completely screwed up the famous Brady grid.
