Foo Fighters announce two tribute shows to honor late band member Taylor Hawkins - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The concerts will take place with the group’s remaining members – Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee – on September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and on September 27 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

The band has teamed up with Hawkins’ family for the shows.

Here’s some of the current lineups for the shows…..

The twin concerts for Foo Fighters’ late drummer Taylor Hawkins will include Miley Cyrus, Liam Gallagher, Joan Jett, Mark Ronson, members of Queen, The Police, Rush, Kiss, The Pretenders, Motley Crue, Queens of the Stone Age, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Supergrass and comedian Dave Chappelle.

The shows will take place Sept. 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and Sept. 27 at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Both concerts will benefit charities chosen by the Hawkins family.

The London concert will have Gallagher, Jett, Chrissie Hynde, Supergrass and Chappelle. The Inglewood concert will have Cyrus, Gene Simmons, Alanis Morissette, Nikki Sixx and Luke Spiller. Both concerts will feature Stewart Copeland, Geddy Lee, Brian May, Mark Ronson, Roger Taylor, Chris Chaney, Wolfgang Van Halen, Alex Lifeson, Hawkins’ cover band Chevy Metal and the surviving member of Foo Fighters.

The first show was Saturday (and almost 6 hours long). I have a cold cold heart of stone, but even my eyes moistened up when Taylor’s 16 year old son Shane got behind the drum kit for ‘My Hero’

Dave Grohl got all emotional and started crying during 'Times Like These'. I can only find that moment from a far angle shot from the crowd.

I'm still trying to remember that reality show on MTV from 20-odd years ago, where they invited some teenage girl drummer to back them up on "Learn to Fly."
