Why don't retro channels carry the original Beauty and the Beast show? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have never understood why the retro channels do not carry Beauty And The Beast and I can't figure it out? Is it because the show was not successful in reruns in syndication? Or it's one of those shows that few people discovered? Because it would be nice if Get TV would air Beauty And The Beast someday or Cozi TV would get it. I remember my mom watching Beauty And The Beast and she thought it was neat

There were only 56 episodes that were produced out of three seasons. That isn't exactly a desirable number for syndication. Plus, many viewers feel that the show jumped the shark a great deal when Linda Hamilton departed the series and her character was killed off. So you also have to deal with a drastic and abrupt narrative shift. Beauty and the Beast with all due respect, was always more of a "cult hit" than a mainstream hit anyway.

StartTV carry's B&B. I had never heard of this channel until I was flipping thru my channels and saw B&B.
