Default Your favorite episodes of Home Improvement

Even though I was born the same year Tim Allen began playing Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor on "Home Improvement", what are your favorite episodes from "Home Improvement"?

Probably the first Christmas episode, "Yule Better Watch Out." Although, once I got the DVDs several years ago, I really enjoyed the pilot, as well as "Forever Jung" and "Nothing More than Feelings," which also had commentaries.

Favorites from the other seasons:
Season 2: "Bye Bye Birdie," "Haunting of the Taylor House," "I'm Scheming of a White Christmas"
Season 3 : "A Frozen Moment" (Man's Bathroom), "Fifth Anniversary" (Man's Kitchen), "Twas the Blight Before Christmas"
Season 4: "My Dinner with Wilson," "Talk to Me," "Tool Time After Dark"
Season 5: "A Taylor Runs Through It," "Twas the Flight Before Christmas," "The Longest Day," "The Vasectomy One"
Season 6: "The Wood, the Bad and the Hungry", "Taps"
Season 7: "Blight Christmas," "Losing My Religion"
Season 8: "Adios," "Home for the Holidays"

I changed the thread title because there was a post that mentioned the other seasons.

I like all the Christmas episodes, but I'm Scheming of a White Christmas and 'Twas The Flight Before Christmas are my favourites.

Most of the Halloween episodes were great, too, especially Crazy For You, I Was A Teenage Taylor and Bewitched.

A Frozen Moment is another great one. And as I've gotten older I appreciate It Was The Best of Tims, It Was The Worst Of Tims more and more. A hilarious episode.

^ Agree with all of that. Watching the "Home Improvement" Halloween and Christmas eps. every season is an annual tradition at our house, dating back many years. And "A Frozen Moment" is a great Thanksgiving/Christmas ep. not just because of the holiday, but it also has the "Man's Bathroom."

I also enjoy the Thanksgiving episodes, especially "Thanks But No Thanks," "The Wood, the Bad and the Hungry" and "My Dinner with Wilson" (one of my favorite eps. because of how Tim helps out Wilson and convinces him not to move).

^Yes, all their holiday episodes were great. A couple of moments I remember is Brad relenting and going to hear Mark sing in the choir, and Tim bashing his head on a pipe going to the basement, which I think was in a Halloween episode.

And it wouldn't be a Taylor Christmas w/o Tim screwing up his rooftop display somehow.

I really like the "highlights" episode where Tim is up with indigestion and watching Tool Time segments during the episode. That shows a lot of great moments.

I also enjoy the Thanksgiving episode where they go to Pontiac Stadium for the Lions game. That is such a funny episode.

It seems everyone agrees that the episodes from the earlier seasons are much better than the later seasons and I feel very much the same way. What was once a funny and lighthearted show became more drama filled and less sitcom-y as the seasons progressed.

A Frozen Moment is an all-time great. Even though I'm in Canada and we have Thanksgiving in early October, I love watching the Home Improvement Thanksgiving episode around US Thanksgiving to lead into the holiday season. And I like the episode where Jill leaves Tim's Hot Rod out in the snow. Can't think of the episode title, but it's a good one leading into the Christmas season.

My favorite episode was the one which contains a blooper about Tim accidentally walked into the refrigerator!

Bertie Bott, the trouble with that episode is that it was not original material, but rather predictable pieces of old episodes, which implies laziness. I think the term used for such an episode is clip show.

The writers should have not have Tim get sick on that Polish food.
