Ken had better host the tournament of champions, he is the ultimate goat after all.

I don't get why people like Ken Jennings. He seems like an egomaniac to me. Jeopardy is also probably soon to be a relic of the past -- dual hosting isn't a good sign at all. My advice is to end Jeopardy and just air re-runs of the Alex Trebek era -- I mean, there are thousands to choose from! If they started from say, the 90s, that's a good chunk of episodes!

Jeopardy has lost its way in my view. Celebrity Jeopardy will not last because Jeopardy skews older and that is not good for primetime, thus why it's syndicated and not on one network. If it was, at this point, it would fail miserably. Alex Trebek WAS Jeopardy, whether people admit to it or not. It's not the same, and no doubt people will continue to quit watching in droves. It can't just become the "Ken Jennings Is The Best Man In The World Because He Says So Show" where we watch him talk about himself. He thinks SO highly of himself and it's disgusting! I don't care if he's one of the GOATs-- he is a disgusting human being and not worthy of being host! Jeopardy should not continue at all but they don't care because its syndicated and making them gobs of money, otherwise they wouldn't care because nobody else does besides the people they pay to make comments on social media. Sad to see what it's become because Ken Jennings absolutely sucks as host.

Ken Jennings does not suck as host and is not arrogant in that role. He certainly isn't a disgusting human being either. Alex himself was full of praise for Ken.

He certainly is. I don’t watch Jeopardy anymore because I don’t like him. He may be smart, but he is arrogant, pompous and self-centered. It’s always about him when he hosts. Always. He always brings up being champion about, oh, once every five minutes or so and it’s tiring. WE KNOW, you’re the only smart person in the world, Ken, but you have the chemistry of a damp kitchen sponge. :rolleyes

Mayim is the one that should have it full time. Ken should be booted out forever. Let the little man cry and moan. He has no substance. As for Alex, I doubt he meant it, only the people behind the scenes who LOVE him. I am looking forward to the Pluto channel with the only host that matters — Alex Trebek!

I have watched 101 episodes with Ken hosting so far. He most definitely does not bring up being a champion every five minutes, several episodes he does not mention it at all. Mayim comes off more arrogant than him as a host. And she laughs too much, Ken is more professional.

I thought that when Jennings left "The Chase" it was more-or-less assumed that it was for being "Jeopardy!'s" full time host.

Maybe they are stalling with officially announcing it.

I'm glad the decision has been made, it dragged on far too long. I would have been happy with either Ken or Mayim, keeping the current structure is fine.

I disagree with virtually everything in this post.

Not only was Ken Jennings the best Jeopardy player ever, he was anything but an egomaniac. He was a good winner, a good loser (on the rare times he lost), and everything you'd want in a Jeopardy player.

Even though he became quite famous after his historic run, you didn't see him cash in with endless endorsements, when I'm sure advertisers were falling all over him.

There wasn't much talk about Alex Trebek retiring when Ken was on his original run, so he wasn't campaigning to replace him. Yes, Ken is a little dry, but everything else about him is a great host.

Contrast that with this hammy, annoying Bialik, who is an endless self-promoter. She never won a single game on Jeopardy and relies on woke fans screeching for a female host as her only ace in the hole. "Look at me, I'm a neuroscientist!" Really? Exactly how are you a neuroscientist when you spent your life on dopey sitcoms?

Ken Jennings gets far better ratings that Bialik but the producers have trapped themselves into the woke world and are afraid to get rid of her.

If Jeopardy does go off the air it will be because society has become more superficial and less intelligent, with hoards of illiterate gangsta rapper types making morons of themselves on stage masquerading as 'entertainment'.

I agree about Mayim Bialik hosting Jeopardy full time. She's very bright and fits the format well. But nobody will ever replace Alex Trebek. Merv Griffin made the right choice in 1984 hiring Trebek instead of original host Art Fleming.

Mayim and Ken are both doing well enough. They aren't Alex, but nobody is. The main problem with Jeopardy right now is the contestants. Too many weirdos.

I think that has a lot to do with the fact that since Covid, the vast majority of contestants are from California.

TBH, it will be permanently Ken Jennings only that will host this game show, nobody else.
