This is my third attempt to stimulate some conversation on this site by doing a reboot of a topic that I wrote about once-upon-a-time. Less than a month ago, I posted a thread on the "Will and Grace" page called "My Own Reboot". In this thread, I revisited a topic that I wrote about several years ago. That thread now has thirty-four views and no replies. Four threads below this one, there is one started by me called "Another Reboot". In this thread, I tried to start some conversation about an episode of "Gimme a Break!" that I had written about before. I am not sure how many views it has, but I know that it has no replies. It will take another paragraph for me to explain what topic I am doing a reboot of now.
Ever since I was eleven-years-old, I have been very fond of purses. I always looked at it as something that made a girl's attire different than mine and attractive to me. When this show first came out, the character of Katie was supposed to be seventeen-years-old. She was almost never without a purse. Julie (who was always my favorite) was fifteen when the show started. When she would go out, she would carry a purse more often than now. However, I can remember a few cases in which Katie and Julie were together and Katie had a purse with her and Julie did not. One such episode was from the first season and it was called "The Robbery". At the beginning of this episode, Chief Kinisky was rounding up his three daughters to take them to the awards ceremony given by the police department. All three of the girls were all dressed up. Katie was wearing a solid blue dress and carrying her purse over her shoulder. Julie was wearing a red dress with a floral print. I thought that she looked very beautiful! This is one of several occasions in which I thought that Julie looked very nice without a purse. Several years ago, I wrote about this situation and called my thread "A No Purse Look". It got views but now replies. I wonder if it will be different this time around! |
