On another forum, someone asked if anyone could remember a show from the 1950's that had a front door and the doorknob was in the middle of the door.
I vaguely remember such a door, but for the life of me, cannot remember which sitcom it was...anyone able to reach in the cobwebs of their minds and yank out this little tidbit? Any help would be appreciated. |

It sounds like Family Affair, which aired from 1966 to 1971.
I saw this thread: Door knob in the middle of the door FAMILY AFFAIR: SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! https://matsutakeblog.blogspot.com/2...ront-door.html

Since the time of that other thread, I've confirmed through an acquaintance of mine in the hardware business, that the manufacturer of those knobsets was likely a company called "Weslock", and that they were cost prohibitive unless purchased in quantities or 6 or more at a time. Still available as recently as 10 years ago, per my source.
