The most surprising to me was Johnny Cash. When I saw he was to be the "guest murderer", I rolled my eyes. But he was actually very good in the role.
Another overlooked goodie was Vera Miles. |

Jack Cassidy! He was very good. The camera angles/lighting on his face in some of the shots in the magician episode made him look very evil and menacing. One other one where he was a book writing partner... can't remember the title but that one had a great series of shots... just the intro, looking out the window and then slowly panning inside all the time with the typewriter as the sound track was amazing! I wish production was that good on all the Columbos ... but Jack played the parts very well.
Robert Culp as mentioned is another fav for me. |
