Just watched this episode and I was curious on everyones thoughts? Do you believe St. Neuman came to cure Chucky? This case was a bit unusual to me. I understand how many Catholics use medals but the child visiting Chucky was strange(especially with all those Asian children who were there as well.. why Asians?)
If there is another thread on this ..sorry!!

Just religious propaganda from true believers. They were told he might not survive-people are told that every day & they or their loved ones live. Praying more somehow trumps medical intervention & their kid is more important than all the others in the world that die-one assumes their parents didn't pray enough or this spirit kid was just too busy.
A medal flipping over-has to be a ghost, couldn't be a nurse moving it accidentally or on purpose while treating him-it was after all on the bed & one assumes they will be fixing pillows, changing bedding, washing him etc. A kid coming to see another kid in a hospital-did this kid walk through walls? Was he dressed like somebody from the 1800's? Did he talk like somebody from the 1800's? From memory I think the kid was dressed & behaved like any other child would be in the 1980's. Why would a ghost go buy modern clothes & go to a hospital? So like many other children he survives & then sees a picture of a kid who likely was described to him by his parents as being the one who visited him & suddenly he was saved by this spirit of a saint. Being bought up in a pious environment is likely to lead to this kind of belief. |

I just came here to say that the kid who played the boy who came to visit Chucky at the hospital, looked like Harry Potter.

The planets aligned for that joke. It was a pretty silly case all around. Of all the saints, why John Neumann? He's not exactly one of the superstars of performing miracles. |
