Default I am not sure I like Tony Dow in...

anything but Beaver. He had a fairly decent role in Emergency, but I was not overly impressed. He was in Adam 12 too but they did not keep him as cute as he was in Beaver unless by then his boyish charm was gone.

The criminal girls in the Adam 12 episode were very much my type - so I'll say that episode was excellent - Wally played it very naive like the LITB character / very likable

He was in an early (b/w) episode of My Three Sons. He played a nerdy guy--not his thing.

I see in Vitoscotti's post that Tony had a full beard on Emergency! (aired Feb. 1972); when he did a 3-part Lassie story that aired in March 1968, he wore a mustache only. Here he is (with Jan-Michael Vincent):

To be honest I always focus on Barbara Hunter when watching those Lassie eps, a nice-looking woman.

Tony & Jan-Michael's characters save Barbara's character when she's on the water in a bad storm, but her dad (Robert Rockwell / Our Miss Brooks) is upset when he learns that she had to spend the night at their place.

Thank you for all these photos. Most I have not seen before and I did not know he played in all of the shows posted.

I still like him best in Beaver.

I added the OMB & Lassie videos. Could be his all-time worst acting.

Boy, if I was trying to break into adult acting, I would not have done the OMB. That was cringe, but he was probably stuck acting that way. Poor guy.

I would much rather drink an old Milwaukee in a bar with Wally Cleaver, than to get a traffic ticket from Eddie Haskell.

I remember the Old Milwaukee beer commercial and his appearance on Emergency! Those two appearances definitely knocked down his clean cut, Wally Cleaver image a peg or two. From clean cut Wally Cleaver, to beer guzzler and looter.

I don't think his acting was any better than Jerry Mathers.

Wonder what the % of cute kid actors who were atrocious actors as adults like Jerry Mathers & Tony Dow is? 95-99% maybe?

He also played Sarah Jessica Parker's dad on Square Pegs.
