Just curious because I think it was obvious that Dorothy and Sophia were Democrats, Rose might have been one as well, but I’m not sure about Blanche, given that she had a “Mammy” who liked to hit the sheets with her bigot father. And I believe that she was also in support of the Confederate flag in The Golden Palace, which didn’t sit well with one of the black characters (Roland).

Yeah, at Sophia's wedding to Max, Rose asked Blanche if she'd ever marry again and she said he would have to have "the financial resources of a Mr. Donald Trump."

She was from the deep south with a Dixiecrat as a father. She told stories of racial stereotypes, etc. She even wanted to be in the daughters of the confederacy

Well, to be fair, she only said she wanted a man "as rich as Mr. Donald Trump". She didn't imply she liked him as a human being.

But to answer the question, people typically embrace the politics of their parents, and she said, "Big Daddy was a Republican". So I would assume she was one also.

Very sad, and this is the same woman who raved about sex with black men.

I don’t mind Blanche all that much, but it’s depressing to see a misguided person, rather in real life or on TV.

In real life, Rue herself was ahead of her time when it came to civil rights. She once refused to stay in a hotel she was booked at while on tour, because the hotel would not allow a black cast member to stay there. Good on ya' Rue!

Yep, my vote is also that she was Republican, which is fine. Although I'm an independent conservative, I prefer the repubs to the demoncrats.

It is hard to say since there were conservative Democrats in the South until relatively recently.
