Salem Samantha Statue Defaced

A man is facing charges after an iconic statue in Salem, Massachusetts was vandalized. The landmark "Bewitched" statue at Essex and Washington streets was found covered in red paint Monday.

I don't want him to go to jail. Give him hard labor for 6-12 months. Cleaning and mopping floors, washing vehicles. Roof repair/shingling, picking up garbage. Stuff like that. Let him work off his dept. Don't let him pay it off or sit idle in a cell somewhere. Agree?

That adds up to $14 million per year which is paid to the state. The state is experiencing a $400 million surplus, so Gov. Baker is proposing tax cuts, and that's part of it. |
