Question Please, Help me to Remember the Names of these shows???

There was a show that once was aired on BET back in the early 90's. It was about a Jamaican man who owned a barber shop that was attached to his house. Could someone please help me remember the title. Also does anyone remember the show that had Sheryl Lee Ralph ( Dee- Stepmom from"Moesha) playing a hairdresser with her sister. I believe the show was titled "New Attitudes". Do you guys remember the show "On Our Own" with the older brother who watched over his 6 or 7 younger brothers and sisters. The brothers and sisters were played by Jurnee Smolletts' (Michelles' friend from Full House & little girl in the movie Eve's Bayou) real brothers and sisters.

I don't know if this is the program you are looking for, but in the mid 70s, there was a show called "That's My Mama", which starred Clifton Davis as a barber (although he wasn't Jamaican). Theresa Merritt played his mother, and Theodore Wilson was cast as his friend Earl, who was a mailman. Ted Lange (who later played the bartender on "The Love Boat") and Jester Hairston (who played Rollie on "Amen") were also on the show. I think BET did broadcast this show for a while.

I don't know about the other programs you've mentioned.

Exclamation Sorry, that's not the name!

No, this guy was not Clifton Davis and he really was Jamacian and he worked in his barbershop that was attached to his house, Matter of fact it used to come on around 6:30 or 7:00 p.m right before this show that I believed was named "Snaps" that Comedian Flex used to host.

There have been two different series titled On Our Own. The one that Da Diva001 was talking about did not have Dixie Carter in it.

Yeah. I live 60 miles away from St. Louis so I'm routing for the Rams. The Rams are my favorite football team. It's weird because because St. Louis didn't have a football team from 1988 to 1995 and during that time the Eagles were my favorite team. Especially when they had Randal Cunningham and Reggie White.
