Default Appearing on both The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family

Sheri Cowart was Kathy Lawrence on Brady and Debbie on Partridge. Can you think of anyone else who achieved this doubleshot holy grail of ‘70s kitsch?

The 1970s were a great time for miniskirts.

Sheri Cowart as Kathy Lawrence

Tannis Montgomery was another cute babe who appeared on both series. Rita Wilson (Mrs. Tom Hanks) is on the left as Pat Conway. Tannis played Jennifer Nichols.

Richie Cunningham dated the following actresses from The Brady Bunch:

Kathy O'Dare
Tannis Montgomery
Maureen McCormick

Another hat trick.

IMDb has a handy feature where you can search for collaborations.

It gave me 42 Brady/ Partridge connections, some being of the behind scenes variety (writer, director, and so forth). The biggest connection I'm embarrassed I didn't put together? Chris Partridge himself (the second one) was on The Brady Bunch!!

How about Cindy Crosby (not to be confused with Sidney Crosby)? Her only two listed credits are The Partridge Family and The Brady Bunch. What are the odds of that happening? If you guest star on two hit 1970s sitcoms, you go out on top and call it a career.

Cindy Crosby is an actress, known for The Brady Bunch (1969) and The Partridge Family (1970).

Forgot to mention before, Michael Lembeck is in the Happy Days one with Maureen McCormick, so some of us around here are quite familiar with that particular episode

I believe they're one and the same, especially when a ref is nearby.

I dont know about the Partridge Family but the Brady Bunch was never "a hit". It did well enough but was never near the Top 10 in viewership. Interestingly, it was an ABC show which was on Fridays, Friday night not traditionally a strong night for TV, but ABC had sitcoms those nights which also was a trend in the 1990's.

I would say people who were children and teenagers liked the Brady Bunch either in first run or in reruns. Probably most adults passed on it. The Bradys was never a "hit". Neither was their variety show or the later attempts to remake the series on NBC and CBS.

Brooke Bundy appeared in one episode of each series - though her Brady Bunch role was part of a backdoor pilot of sorts that had little connection to the Bradys.

Michael Lembeck also appeared on "The Partridge Family" with his father Harvey in the episode "To Play Or Not To Play". His co-star on "One Day At A Time" Pat Harrington was also on "The Partridge Family" in the episode "Danny and The Mob".

The mothers in both series were good friends even though you couldn't blame them if they weren't. Florence Henderson had previously auditioned for a part in the play "Oklahoma!" but the role went to Shirley Jones instead. Shirley had been offered the chance to play Carol Brady but turned it down so Florence was picked to take her place. Both ladies were also great friends with Marion Ross, the 3rd Mom in this 70s "Hat Trick". Marion was in "The Brady Bunch" episode "Is There A Doctor In The House?" (the infamous measles episode!). After "Happy Days" ended, the 3 stars appeared in an ad for milk where they were seen with funny "milk mustaches". At the same time, they also combined forces to help out and contribute to a specific charity except I can't remember what it was for but I do remember seeing them together and I thought it was cute because ---this is where the most important connection comes in --- "Happy Days", "The Partridge Family" and "The Brady Bunch" (in that order!) just happen to be my 3 favorite sitcoms from the 1970s!

Jackie Coogan appeared on both shows. On the PF, it was "Did You Hear the One About Danny Partridge?" from S1 and "Maid in San Pueblo" (where he replaced Ray Bolger as Shirley's dad) from S4. On the BB, it was "Double Parked" from S2 and "The Fender Benders" from S3.

Were there ever any actors who appeared on BB and PF who also guested on Nanny and the Professor, which was sandwiched between Brady and Partridge in the '70-'71 season?
