Default It's the Silent Moments We Need To Start To

Pay Attention to:

Some of the most important moments of our lives often occur when we are alone.

Through the split mind of our egoic defense system, our human journey demands we create our sense of self worth through external roles, relationships, and various stimuli. We put this defense system in place to protect ourselves within the landscape of belief of separation — from nature, from God, from one another. In an effort to feel complete through these external roles and relationships, coupled with our desire to measure our value for the needs we fulfill in others around us, we create an insatiable state of being, a profound loneliness and disconnection at a deep level.

So many of us spend our days in service to family, friends, kids, jobs, chores, and bills. How much time does that leave for ourselves? Far too often, we underserve our full potential because we keep so busy and distracted from who we are. We train ourselves to immediately fill the silent moments with distractions to fill the foreign blank space.

We let these distractions and pursuits assuage our sense of emptiness, our insecurity, and our lack of self-worth. We distract ourselves in any quiet moments between the roles and duties as a means to avoid asking the deeper questions: Who am I? What am I here to express? What is my highest expression of self? Am I valuable in my naked alone state with source?

For a lack of tender self-inquiry, we fail to see our own beauty. We become an amalgamation of opinions and reactions to our external stimuli and relationships. We then develop a deep distrust in ourselves because we have never listened in long enough to discover our innate wisdom and knowingness. Our intuition is shut down, and we reach a state of pain that necessitates a constant effort to distract or numb it with addictions to social media, food, relationships, drugs, and activities.

It’s the silent moments that we need to start to pay attention to. We may think we are so busy, but these moments are more abundant than we think. Become mindful of these quiet moments throughout your day, and instead of immediately trying to fill them with what you can do next — pause, take a beat, and realize this moment is precious. It is between the words, activities, and stimuli that will allow us to find our own inherent resonance. A frequency of truth. Your truth.

At the tipping point of all things, may be the most important thing we can do right now is be silent, hold still, and begin this surrender experiment. Let’s be in silent gratitude for the fact that we're alive right now and we can create a new future.

GJ, you just can't resist the sarcasm, but thanks.

Oh and infusions of spirituality would not hurt anyone around here.

I guess I should thank you more for the Gentleman you are to "pray for me"...

It wasn't intended so much to be sarcasm, as it was in satire.

There is another board that I participate in, where discussion of religion is strictly prohibited.
But there are these interlopers who will, for example if someone mentions that their family/friend/loved one member has died......the interloper will assure the sufferor that "they will be praying for you"

And, I guess to the twisted mind. "that" does not constitute religious discussion. It only would be considered discussion if someone voiced a contending point of view.

So, for so long as the topic remains non-contentious....no moderation is inflicted.

To me, if someone says "I'll be praying for you" that says two things (1) There is a God, and (2) I have a relationship with him/her. So the way I see it, the offer to pray breaks the rules. I sure as heck believe that if I was to say "Well, I;d pray foe you, but we both know there is no one listening" You could be sure the interlopers would be crying "foul".

So, they hide behind this veil, claiming that SO LONG AS THE DISCUSSION REMAINS NON-CONTENTIOUS, then no foul is being committed.

I expect there are a few members here who eventually will start skirting the recent policy changes here, in a similar method. Trying to fabricate a similar veil.

So, I was just teasing you. Try not to be so negative about everything

This thread was already reported for the following reason:

The link is to a website that contains anti vaccination sentiment, blaming vaccines rather than covid for deaths.

Please do not attempt any sneaky links. It has been removed.
